Major Project, Volunteers Needed ! ! !
Berm Project Update Page
On August 20th all pistol and rifle ranges will be closed because of hydro seeding being performed on all ranges. Seed Slingers will be on site to seed the exposed berms.
As soon as they are finished we are going to need a LARGE crew of people to lay down straw matting over the seeded berms and install a watering system. We will also need at least a half a dozen extension ladders for this project. The idea is that we do not want people climbing up and down the berms, the extension ladders will be placed on the berms to allow access for the crew working on the berms. The more volunteers and ladders, the faster this project will go.
That Saturday is only the start of this project. We will need to water the berms every evening for two weeks. We need to have a list of volunteers willing to stop by the club near sunset and run the watering system for 30 mins. to an hour.
I would like to point out that we usually get a good turn out of the 65 year old to 75+ year old members. However, this project may need a few more younger members.
